The final version of the OLE Project has been posted and can be downloaded here:

OLE Project Final Report

The following libraries have made the commitment to form a partnership for the next phase of the project, which will be titled The Kuali-OLE Project:

  • University of Pennsylvania

  5. While I am glad to see any open source effort, I wonder why this money is being spent to re-invent the wheel so to speak. There are at least two very good, mature FOSS ILS packages out there already. One is Koha (www.koha.org) and the other is Evergreen (www.open-ils.org). A better use of this money would be to assist in one or both of these current systems in an effort to improve/integrate them into the Kuali system.
