How to join the Oct. 1 OLE Project webcast

Update 10/1/08 10am: We are pleasantly overwhelmed by the interest in the OLE Project webcast.  In the last few hours, registrations for this event have exceeded the capacity of our webcast setup. If you encounter problems accessing the live webcast, please view the webcast recording, which will be made available shortly after the event. In the meantime we hope you will read the scope document and share your ideas via comments on that webpage or via the listserv. Your input is invaluable to the success of the project. If necessary, we will host a second webcast for those who are not able to connect to this one.

The webcast will take place from 3- 4:30 p.m., Eastern Time (US).

Who can participate in the webcast?

Anyone interested in the project can listen to the webcast and send in questions before or during the webcast. The webcast will be recorded for those who are unable to join during the live webcast. Discussion will continue after the webcast via the OLE listserv and OLE Project website. Please register for the webcast at:

What topics will the webcast address?

The key agenda items are:

Project overview – how the project came about, and what it plans to accomplish, overview of activities and timeline, importance of engaging the full library community

Scope of project – preliminary assumptions and ideas about project scope and technology approach

Opportunities for participation – Review of outreach activities and ways to get involved

Q & A – based on questions sent in before or during the webcast

Select Enter as a Guest. Type in your name in the box.  Click Enter Room.

To HEAR THE AUDIO, dial one of the following numbers.

How do I ask a question?

Before the webcast, send your questions to the OLE Project listserv, or post them as comments to this page.

During the webcast, use the chat window to send in your questions.
